About Diana
I have always been very sociable and fascinated by history. My first career was in Human Resources but after spending time bringing up my family, I retrained as a guide which enabled me to combine both these interests. I qualified in 1990 and have been enthusiastically sharing my passion for the past and present ever since.
Over the years I have guided all sorts of groups, from individual families, societies and schools to larger parties for Tour Operators or corporate events. We have travelled by chauffeured car, train, coach, cruise liner and foot.
Alongside my guiding, I have been an Adult Education Lecturer for over twenty years, giving illustrated talks about the Capital to over 110 students each week and leading them on associated walks and visits in London.
I love learning and while I naturally ensure that I keep up to date with our ever-changing historic city I also continue to study so I can extend my portfolio by offering specific tours such as a Parliament Guide and 2012 Olympic Venues Guide
I have numerous guiding qualifications and have also chaired the South East England Tourist Guides Association. I am a full member of both The Institute of Tourist Guiding and The Guild of Registered Tourist Guides. I have a Diploma in Personnel Management.
